What's new in NetBSD?

Abstract
NetBSD is known as a highly portable operating system, but its strengths are not limited to being available on many platforms. NetBSD goals also include security, performances, standard conformance and clean design. Developpement of innovating features also occur.
In this paper, we will have a look at the new features that have been integrated into NetBSD this year. When relevant, we will try to talk about possible alternatives and the reasons of the choices made.
Author bio
Emmanuel Dreyfus is a NetBSD developer since 2000. He has been working on Linux, IRIX and Darwin binary compatibility, and is currently trying to maintain IPsec-tools integration in NetBSD. Emmanuel Dreyfus works as a system administrator in Paris, France, and is also the projet leader of milter-greylist, an anti-spam tool. In 2003, he published a book (in french) on BSD system administration (Cahier de l'admin BSD, editions Eyrolles).
